From the first call to launch

No twenty steps with icons. There are five stages, and each one says what we do, what we need from you and roughly how long it takes. Timings count from the day we have your text and photos, not the day you sign.

The first call

You call, message or fill in the form. If it makes sense, we talk it through for fifteen or twenty minutes. No pitch deck.

We need: A rough idea of the business and what you want the site to do. No finished brief needed.

We usually reply within a working day.

Quote and start

We send a written quote with the scope, price and timeline. If it looks right, you sign and pay 50% to get going.

We need: Your go-ahead and the first payment.

A few days, mostly up to you.

Concept and design

We design the key pages first, not the whole site at once. Both rounds of design changes happen here.

We need: Your text and photos if they're ready. If not, we start with placeholder content and swap yours in later. And feedback within a reasonable time.

1–2 weeks, depending on the package.

Build

The design becomes a working site: pages, forms, the admin panel, the phone version.

We need: Final text and photos, if we don't have them yet.

2–4 weeks, depending on the package.

Testing and launch

We check links, forms, speed and how everything looks on a phone. The round of changes on the built site happens here. Then it goes live.

We need: Access to your domain, if you already have one, or the go-ahead to register it in your name.

About a week.

How many revisions

Two rounds on the design, one on the built site. If you want more, we tell you the price before doing them.

The guest house calendar: live before 1 May

Counted backward from the season, not from today:

  1. End of January

    First call and quote.

  2. February

Concept and design of the rooms and gallery.

  3. March

    The site gets built.

  4. April

    Content, testing, small fixes.

  5. Before 1 May

    Live, before the first guests.

The shorter calendar, for a one-page site

Fewer pages, less time:

  1. Early April

    First call and quote.

  2. Mid-April

Design and build, almost in parallel.

  3. Late April

    Content and testing.

  4. Before 1 May

    Live.

What you get at handover

  • · Every login (domain, hosting, admin panel) registered in your name.
  • · A short walkthrough, by phone or in person, on changing prices, photos and text.
  • · A one-page how-to, so you don't have to remember it all.

After launch

From here, it's your call. With the care plan, we keep the site updated and in good shape. Without it, you keep the logins: the site is yours and runs fine without us. Both options are perfectly normal.

What to prepare

The sooner we have these, the safer the timeline.

  • · Text: what you want the pages to say, even rough. We can smooth the tone, but the facts have to come from you.
  • · Photos of the rooms, the products, the menu, whatever you sell. Phone photos are fine if they're taken in good light.
  • · Prices: a list or table, even a temporary one.
  • · Logins to your current site or domain, if you have them.

Missing content is the most common reason timelines slip. That's why we mention it now.
